As our business expert for the Salesforce tool, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) in Halfords; responsible for defining and implementing best practice usage and training of all parts of the tool.

Note - this is a 6 month fixed term contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the business expert for all business configuration, functionality and capability within the SFCC tool in Halfords
  • Define and implement the SFCC usage strategy, training plans by role, and vision for Halfords digital products
  • Be the ambassador for Halfords within the Salesforce community
  • As this new digital function/ tool is being established, ensure: ways of working are defined, clear, are understood and are being consistently followed
  • Working within SFCC tool, to execute production assets where necessary, handling of all administrative functions:
    Troubleshoot within the Salesforce tool, order management, user accounts, templates, assets, reports, and assist with AB testing.Setting up promotional codes (both unique and blanket)Handling and problem solve with pricing files and order managementBusiness setting configurationsManage Custom preferences Expert on business management components
  • Identify and drive the implementation of initiatives to continually upskill and drive efficiency within the Digital Team
  • Remain up to date with new thinking, good practices and trends within SFCC and competitor tools
  • Ensure best possible service is provided remaining to the team
  • Provide regular updates to the digital leadership team and key business stakeholders on new initiatives, market insights and key results
  • Form a strong working relationship with relevant stakeholders across the business ensuring colleagues are kept up to date with latest market developments
  • Be the key point of escalation to help quickly remove blockers preventing the teams from meeting their commitments
  • Remain aware of status of objectives and key issues across the teams to inform where additional focus our attention is required to help improve performance or drive efficiency
  • Build a network of trusted partners and suppliers, using them to provide insight and support as needed to help develop the digital marketing activities
  • Manage partners/suppliers that are providing a service to ensure it delivers against expectations
  • Manage contracts (where relevant) with partners/suppliers including contract renewal/negotiations and provision of additional value add services and advice)
  • Skills and Experience Required:

  • Highly experienced in the Salesforce tool, the administration of the tool and active in the Salesforce community
  • Strong organization, engagement and communication skills
  • Strong business acumen and good level of commercial awareness
  • Very good stakeholder management
  • Able to inspire and influence teams and senior management alike
  • Good delegation and coaching skills – highly comfortable in empowering individuals and development teams
  • Act quickly and decisively using good judgement in making decisions and performing actions
  • Good analytical skills, awareness of key technologies and tools used for Data analysis
  • Good at building business relationships internally and externally with partners and suppliers
  • Driven and motivated to create a high performing Salesforce team culture that adapts, develops and grows through continuous feedback and improvement
  • Passionate about digital products
  • Note - This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the UK. Some travel on occasion will be required to our support centre in Redditch Worcestershire.
