Role Summary

We have a new position within our Europe Technical team for pre­sales professional with experience within the EPC/Network Core/5G Core industry.
This position will be based in the Czech republic within Mavenir’s EMEA region with potential for regular travel throughout the region; work closely within a small team, & report to the Bid Manager. A right to work in Europe is essential as this role may require extended stays in Europe.
This role will be pivotal in ensuring we exceed the customer’s expectations by delivering high quality RFx responses across our Access Solutions technology arena and will be able to influence the direction of the customer proposition. Previous experience in customer core network packet core design/strategy departments will be considered beneficial to the application.
The successful candidate will have either a successful track record in technical pre-sales in the wireless telecommunications industry – and in-depth technology related experience in the Packet Core (EPC) and Gi LAN market. Or a successful track record in technical design/strategy development in the wireless telecommunications industry either in standards bodies or the customer community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Mavenir’s bid desk operations
  • Assist sales team in all phases of the selling process.
  • Interact with internal and external customers.
  • Work with product managemnt to identify/qualify customer requests & define requirements
  • Work with Product Managers to reflect customer requirements in feature set & road map
  • Lead, manage & provide direct technical input to customer RFXs.
  • Understand pricing mechanisms and support sales team in building commercial proposals.
  • Maintain contact and open communication with customers to assist with future needs.
  • Active in tender submissions
  • Preparation of technical sales materials including collateral, quotation, timeline, project plan and solution proposals.
  • Create content to support the technical strength of the Mavenir solutions
  • Job Requirements

  • Solid understanding of LTE/5G virtualised EPC and 5G Core landscape including vendors/products/key attributes.
  • Good understanding of the RAN (2/3/4/5G) development and how this impacts future network core designs
  • Solid understanding of NFVi in carrier grade environments (either VM or Container based)
  • Good understanding of the Mobile Edge Compute concepts and how they will be developed and delivered.
  • Good understanding of the move to virtualise core network elemets and how this impacts performance and cost.
  • Solid understanding of the 3GPP and xRAN/oRAN standards bodies.
  • Solid understanding of operator core and IT networks including IT/OSS integration requirements for commercial rollout of small cell service
  • Highly proficient listener & consultative sales style with the ability to shape customer thinking
  • Excellent communications skills in verbal, written and presentation forms at senior levels
  • Acute attention to detail & organization
  • Energetic and creative with an upbeat, positive attitude
  • A team player who works well with others, who has strong influencing skills, and is creative and entrepreneurial
  • Significant, proven and demonstratable cellular wireless industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
