JOB FAMILY SUMMARY:
Product Marketing defines and drives the go-to-market plans to maximize adoption of new products and features. Owns defining the positioning and segmentation for new and existing products and stays current with customer, competitor, and market trends to make informed and data-driven plans to drive adoption of MINDBODY features and products.
The Product Marketing Manager drives key initiatives that help customers and consumers see and understand the value of MINDBODY’s consumer-focused products and initiatives. Partnering with product, sales, engineering, and other teams across the company, the Product Marketing Manager sets positioning, develops strategy, and owns the execution of key launches and initiatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor's degree in business or related field; graduate degree preferred
•At least 2 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or marketing; 4+ years preferred
•Direct experience in the fitness or wellness space
•Ability to understand technical terms and processes and translate to customer/user value
•Excellent presentation and communication skills
•Ability to rapidly prioritize and adapt to changing customer dynamics
•Demonstrated track record of success driving marketing initiatives for SaaS products, features, services, and mobile apps
•Creative with an incredible ability to communicate and present product value that will guide messaging and creative teams to flawless execution of marketing assets
•Excellent project manager with strong analytical skills and are process and detail oriented
•Passionate about translating product features into messaging and can turn comprehensive features into simple value propositions
•Possess a deep understanding of small and medium-sized business owners and the challenges they encounter with running a brick and mortar location
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally across sales, marketing, business development, & product management organizations
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Partner with Product Managers to drive product launches, feature announcements.
•Own positioning that informs marketing message and creative.
•Define segmentation and value proposition.
•Drive adoption of new products and key initiatives.
•Sync with Sales and Marketing regularly to ensure that sell sheets, website content, and collateral accurately reflect the value delivered.
•Craft internal training strategies to ensure team alignment of product and feature releases.
•Drive our consumer push notification strategy to drive engagement and revenue.
•Present and pitch big ideas, product positioning, target customers, and multi-channel campaigns to executives to get resources and buy in on initiatives.
•Develop, lead & execute global go-to-market plans to help grow and scale the business.
•Work with business development and product management to influence product roadmap and pitch monetization opportunities.
•Lead and collaborate with internal creative agencies to ensure quality, on-time delivery of marketing programs and assets across multiple channels.
•Work closely with the MINDBODY Marketing team to develop customer case study opportunities, and weave customer insights into internal training plans.
•Work with product management team to distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages.
•All other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard.
•This position is mostly stationary and will be required to remain stationary for extended periods of time.
•Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
•The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
SCOPE OF SUPERVISION/AUTHORITY:
Duties are performed under limited supervision. Often responsible for planning and organizing their own work, which may or may not be directly related to general business operations of the company or its customers. Will receive training and guidance from manager as needed. Individual contributors may be required to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance depending on the nature of the position. No direct management responsibility.
