    Job Summary

    The Supply Chain Coordinator is primarily responsible for planning, organizing and executing the production schedule for the plant. The position is also responsible for maintaining the product and pricing database, creation of material codes and maintaining stock levels of certain product categories.

    The individual must be able to multi-task, have excellent written and communication skills, due to the interactions required with multiple departments (internal and external), and have meticulous attention to detail.

    Essential Functions


  • Ensures the production schedule is current and sequenced for maximum productivity and to fulfil customer delivery requirements.
  • Works with management and team leaders to organize schedule changes due to backlogs, material/labour shortages and to accommodate urgent requests.
  • Facilitates daily meetings between supply chain, operations, customer service and logistics in order to ensure on time shipment of customer orders.
  • Plans stock for internally made dispersions and bases; ensuring minimum stock levels are maintained in line with demand.
  • Manages the procurement of all equipment items, including maintenance of safety stocks, following up with suppliers on delivery dates and dealing with vendor queries/complaints.
  • Provides NWC (Net Working Capital) support on inventory, ensuring stock value is in line with business targets and also supporting with reduction of NWSM (Non-Working Slow-Moving) inventory items.
  • Creation of SAP raw material, packaging and equipment codes, as well as creation of price contracts and master data maintenance.
  • Ordering of samples for trials and testing.
  • Maintaining prices in contracts and info records for raw materials, packaging, equipment etc and ensuring the business is aware of these changes and the overall impact.
  • Management of consignment stocks, which includes BOL/terms tracking and transfer of stocks out of consignment.
  • Ariba agent: PO approvals for all orders and queries regarding invoices. They are also required to train new starters on the system.
  • Education and Experience

  • Min grade A-C GCSE’s in maths and English
  • CIPS qualified to level 4 or above
