Bar Manager

  • To assist the presentation and
    service of drink products, to ensure the highest quality at all times

  • To monitor and check guest

  • Check menu items, estimated
    restaurant volumes and stock levels of the bar to determine work needed

  • See that all drink product prepared
    is due so in a clean, appetizing and attractive manner.

  • To adhere and comply to restaurant
    rules, restaurant policies and procedures

  • Implementing and instructing a
    daily and monthly checklist for all bar departments (cleaning
    rotas, stock rotation and ordering).
    Ensure to maintain maximum quality and efficiency.

  • Correct mistakes made by their subordinate

  • Is responsible for carrying out or
    delegating all work done

  • Any other work assigned by a
    senior team member

§ Manage day to day restaurant
operations including shift management.

§ Effectively opening / closing the bar for service

§ Provide a channel of
communication between all departments incl executive

§ Promoting positive
site culture.

§ Team management and
communication including but not limited to creating and managing staff

§ Staff recruitment and

§ Ordering and invoice
approval related to Bar operations

§ Twice Monthly stock

§ Full control and
accountability for all bar stock

and costing

  • In control of the departmental
    expense budget through the year.

  • To ensure that there is no over

  • Ensure that the restaurants cost
    control policies and procedures are followed (by minimising left-over or
    spoilage and improve utilisation of left-over). And by maintaining standard portion

  • To follow and prepare menu items
    according to the standard recipe.

  • Recording weekly wastage levels

  • Clear understanding of GP levels

To ensure
regular progress, updates & reviews are conducted between yourself and your

  • To follow the instruction of your
    superior, accomplish the task and able to work to required standard

  • To continuously perform on the job
    training when needed

  • To participate in all activities
    of the bar and to motivate team.

  • Ensure that you follow all bar procedures
    and trainings and adhere to all health and safety standards.

  • To demonstrate pride in their work
    place and show commitment to its fullest.

· Strong relationships
with the rest of your team and other departments

To attend daily briefings FoH/BoH and to
communicate with the relevant key points to ensure that his section receive all
the information.

  • To report all maintenance requirements and hazards in
    the workplace to superior

  • To actively engage and participate in effective
    communications within their department.

  • Communication with OPS and bar tenders for GP’s,
    Wastage and development

  • HR issues to Head of People


and delivery people (receiving, checking and raising
concerns when needed)

and sales representatives

from local council, EHO, etc

Qualifications and Experience


in producing effective team work

· Experience of working supervising a
team as well as on own

· A passion for the hospitality industry
and up to date on current drink trends

· A wiliness to jump in and help with the
team when needed

· A drive to learn and develop your
skills in the hospitality industry

· Good knowledge of drink production, presentation
and service operation

high level of understanding of the logistical and practical day to day running
and managing of a bar
