Bank Care Assistant

We are looking for Bank Care Assistants to join the Excelcare family in Essex to be part of the Regional Bank Staff Team for our Care Homes in Harlow, South Benfleet, Colchester, Maldon, Chelmsford, Saffron Walden, Chigwell, Rayleigh and Brentwood. This role offers flexibility to suit your personal circumstances.

This post is subject to compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021 (“the Regulations”), which requires the post holder to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 unless clinically exempt.

What to expect:

  • £10.00 p/h plus mileage paid at 37p per mile
  • You will get an extra £1.00 per hour for every shift you complete through our app
  • You will be able to accept shifts as and when available via our bank app
  • Various shifts from 8am – 8pm/8pm – 8am, Monday - Sunday
  • About you:

    You will need to either have previous professional experience in a care environment – care home/domiciliary care or you will have supported a family member. Ideally you will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent qualification.

    You will be delivering the highest quality, individual care to the people who live within our services and be kind, loyal and committed to making a difference every day.

    About the role:

    As a Care Assistant you will work as part of a team providing physical, emotional, spiritual and social support. You will continually promote independence, choice, dignity and respect to the people living our homes by delivering the very best standards of care.

    Supporting people with personal care such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals. Completing current and appropriate documentation which includes daily record keeping, charts and care plans.
